ABSTRACT

Objective:To analyze the efficacy of dienogest combined with traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) in the treatment of endometriosis (EMs) and its influence on pregnancy and recurrence. Methods:A total of177 patients with EMs admitted to Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of Chinese Medicine and Linyi Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from December 2018 to June 2019 were divided into the observation group (88 cases) and the control group (89 cases) according to the random number table method. The control group was treated with dienogest 25 mg once a day, and the observation group was treated with dienogest combined with TCM decoction. They all were treated for 6 months. The clinical efficacy, pregnancy and recurrence of the two groups were compared, and EMs health profile-5 (EHP- 5) of the Chinese version was used to evaluate patients′ quality of life of the two groups. Results:The total effective rate in the observation group was higher than that in the control group: 92.04%(81/88) vs. 79.78%(71/89), and the difference was statistically significant ( χ2 = 5.492, P<0.05). The time of ovulation recovery and menstrual recovery in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group: (13.38 ± 3.60) d vs. (14.69 ± 3.15) d, (26.48 ± 4.23) d vs. (28.72 ± 3.40) d, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). There was no statistically significant difference in the 1-year pregnancy rate between the two groups ( P>0.05). The 1-year recurrence rate in the observation group was lower than in the control group: 1.14%(1/88) vs. 10.11%(9/89), and the difference was statistically significant ( P<0.05). The scores of pain, emotional state, sense of control, sexual life, doctor-patient relationship , infertility, and treatment effect in EHP-5 in the observation group after the treatment were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant ( P<0.05). Conclusions:Compared with dienogest treatment alone, the combination of TCM treatment can further improve the efficacy. It is beneficial to pregnancy. It can reduce the recurrence rate, improve the quality of life more significantly, and has great safety.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the Chinese medicine syndrome characteristics of mild cognitive impairment (MCI).Methods The papers of MCI syndrome research were reviewed and collected in China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wan Fang Data and VIP Data from January of 1990 to December of 2014.Statistical analysis was made on the Chinese medicine syndrome types and syndrome factors.SPSS 17.0 software was adopted to make cluster analysis.Combined with experts' experience, related symptoms to the syndrome factors were carried out. Results Totally 32 papers were included.Mter terminology normalization, there were 24 syndrome types of MCI.Top 5 syndromes with high frequency were syndrome of orifices confused by phlegm, syndrome of deficiency of kidney essence, syndrome of deficiency of both Qi and blood, syndrome of internal exuberance of heat toxin and syndrome of blood stasis blocking brain. In syndrome factors of disease location type, kidney and brain covered the highest proportion,30.83% and 30.00%.In syndrome factors of disease cause and character types,Qi deficiency covered the most,16.50%.According to results of cluster analysis, combined with experts' experience,15 syndrome factors were extracted, including 69 symptoms. Conclusion Chinese medicine syndrome types of MCI were mainly syndrome of orifices confused by phlegm and syndrome of deficiency of kidney essence. The disease locations were mainly kidney and brain. The disease character was Qi deficiency.

ABSTRACT

Objective To characterize the resistance mechanisms of a clinical Shigella sonnei strain harboring blaCTX-M-55 .Methods A double-disk synergy test was conducted to detect ESBL.Antibiotic resistance genes were determined by PCR followed by amplicon sequencing.Conjugation experiments were performed to verify the transferability of the plasmids carrying ESBL genes. The minimum inhibitory concentration values were tested using VITEK 2.The transposition unit was confirmed by DNA sequencer, and the transcriptional start site was identified using primer extension assay. Results Strain #1083 produced CTX-M-55,which was encoded by plasmid p1083-CTXM that could be transferred into E.coli through conjugation experiments to confer corresponding antibiotic resistance to the transconjugant #1083-EC600.The transposition unit mediating the transfer of blaCTX-M-55 was ISEcp1-blaCTX-M-55 -Δorf477.ISEcp1 offered strong promoter regions for the resistance genes, facilitating their expressions.Besides, the expressions were constant, not induced by antibiotics. Conclusion BlaCTX-M-55 on plasmids is the major resistance genes for strain #1083.Their expressions and spread are mediated by the insertion sequence ISEcp1.
